Job Posting: QA Test Automation Engineer

mTrade is looking for a QA Test Automation Engineer to create, develop, implement and execute automated test cases for enterprise-class web applications. The ideal candidate will work in collaboration with development, client services and operations teams in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with mTrade development teams as a quality assurance developer
• Develop written test cases utilizing "stories" contained within agile sprints
• Read and understand C#.NET code as well as author Selenium automation tests
• Create functional, component, performance and system test cases for automated execution
• Develop and understand Transact-SQL (intermediate to advanced skill levels)
• Utilize mTrade hosted applications (e.g., Jira) to track defects from problem identification through resolution
• Provide time estimates to complete testing related tasks within a sprint
• Support mTrade applications as a subject matter expert
• Understand quality assurance methodologies and the principles of software design

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline; equivalent related experience is acceptable
• Experience developing test plans in an agile development environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience collaborating with software development and operations teams to ensure a quality software application
• Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple assignments concurrently
