Hunter Carpenter
Hunter Carpenter
Hunter Carpenter is a partner at RedBird Capital Partners, a private investment firm with over $4.0 billion of assets under supervision. Prior to RedBird, Hunter was a principal investor for The Stephens Group after beginning his career as an investment banker at Stephens Inc. Throughout his career as an investor, Hunter has served on numerous boards helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Hunter was a four year basketball letterman at the University of Mississippi with an undergraduate and masters degree in accounting as well as a law degree. He chairs the Audit Committee of the mTrade Board of Directors as well as the Investment Committee of the University of Mississippi Foundation. Hunter, his wife and five children reside in Dallas, Texas.
Bob Dorsey
Bob Dorsey
Bob worked as a physicist, mining engineer and corporate risk manager before returning to school to obtain a PhD in Economics. He was a professor of economics at Ole Miss where he did research in non-linear optimization and experimental economics. He was a co-founder of FNC and at FNC served various roles including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Data and Analytics Officer. As a member of the mTrade Board, Bob serves as the chair of the Security Committee. Bob and his wife reside in Tucson, Arizona.
Jan Farrington
Jan Farrington
Jan Farrington is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and is a former national president of the Ole Miss Alumni Association and past chair of the University of Mississippi Foundation. An entrepreneur by choice, she has helped start, incubate, and finance many successful companies. She serves on the board of Anderson Regional Health System, Meridian, MS, and on the board (and past chair) of Innovate Mississippi, a public/private partnership established by the state legislature to assist entrepreneurial endeavors in Mississippi. Prior to mTrade, she was an initial investor and board member of FNC.
Lawrence Farrington
Lawrence Farrington
Lawrence Farrington is an observer on the mTrade Board of Directors. A noted patron of the arts and collector, he served on the Mississippi Arts Commission for several terms. He also served as president of The Hundred Club of Jackson for many years. In addition to being in the oil and gas business, Lawrence has sponsored and financed numerous startup firms during his career including a wine importer, clothing manufacturer, and was an initial investor in FNC as well as mTrade. Lawrence has served on the UM Foundation Board of Directors and served as chair of the Business Advisory Board. He holds a degree in business from the University of Mississippi.
John Koch
John Koch
John Koch is the former interim CEO of Scottrade Bank as well as a member of the executive team and Chief Lending and Credit Officer at Charter One Bank. John also as served as a board member of Oberlin College (his alma mater) and on many other boards including the Cleveland Orchestra. Currently, he serves as chair of the compensation committee of the mTrade Board of Directors. He previously served as chair of the compensation committee of the FNC Board of Directors prior to its sale to CoreLogic. John holds an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and English as well as an MBA. He and his wife reside in Palm Beach, Florida.
Lois Lovelady
Lois Lovelady
Lois Lovelady is Vice Chair of the Board, President, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer of mTrade where she is responsible for all sales and marketing activities of the company. She served as head of sales and marketing at FNC and operated her own company as an entrepreneur in the payments space prior to joining FNC. Early in her career, Lois spent several years on both the retail and institutional side of business with multiple Wall Street firms including Shearson Lehman and Alex Brown. She holds a degree in business administration with a marketing concentration from the University of Mississippi.
Bill Rayburn
Bill Rayburn
Bill is Chairman of the Board, Co-Founder and CEO of mTrade, positions he also held at FNC. Prior to FNC, Bill was a finance professor at the University of Mississippi. Bill holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Memphis and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Innovate Mississippi, the public/private partnership established by the Mississippi legislature to assist entrepreneurial endeavors in Mississippi. Active in community affairs, Bill has led fund-raising for several charitable organizations and continues to be heavily involved in community activities.
Angela Woods
Angela Woods
Angela Woods is the Chief Operating Officer of Crossnore School and Children’s Home. Prior to this, she served as various capacities with the Girl Scout Councils as CEO as well as with the United Way. Early in her career, she was a banker with the Bank of America. Angela holds an undergraduate degree from Spelman College and an MBA in finance from Clark Atlanta University as well as a law degree from the University of Georgia. Angela and her husband and daughter reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
